Summer vacation is a great time for kids to learn God’s Word. Every summer, we enjoy spending a whole week sharing the Bible with kids. Some of the kids are from our church, some are from other churches nearby, and some are new to church. We have a great time making new friends, enjoying fun activities, and learning the good news about Jesus Christ from the whole Bible.
During that week, we have two kids’ camps that run at the same time:
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is for kids ages 4-10. Monday to Friday, we welcome children for a morning of Bible verses, songs, stories, games, crafts, and snacks.
The theme changes from one year to the next. In recent years, we have enjoyed:
- ”Space Mission” (learning about creation from the book of Genesis)
- ”Seaquest” (sailing with Jonah)
- “Upward Bound” (hiking through the Gospel of Luke, learning the life of Jesus)
- “Olympion” (finishing the race to the promised land)
Teens Bible Camp
Monday to Friday, we invite youth aged 11-14 for an extended morning of Bible lessons and discussions, sports, music, and snacks. This event happens at the same time as VBS, at a park not far from the church.
